Cone spikes, not flat studs

Cone spikes are a different proposition from flat studs. They project outward, so they change the outline of the jacket rather than just the surface. They also put more leverage on the fixing point, which is why the way they are attached matters more than on a flat-stud jacket. Every spike here goes through the hide and is closed against a backing washer on the reverse. A spike fixed straight into unbacked leather will eventually pull through; these do not.

The layout puts the longest spikes along the shoulder line and the lapel edges, with shorter spikes and flat studs filling in around them. That keeps the profile aggressive at the top where you see it, and keeps the lower body wearable.

Living with a spiked jacket

Worth saying plainly: spikes catch on things. Do not sling it over a knitted jumper, a leather car seat or a delicate bag. The shell is real black leather chosen firm enough to carry spikes without deforming around each fixing. Softer nappa would bubble at the base of every cone. Seams are double stitched and reinforced at the shoulders where the hardware load is heaviest. The main zip is metal tooth, and the interior is fully lined so no spike backing sits against you.

Slim biker cut, ending at the hip. Take your normal size over a tee or thin top. There is very little give in a spiked panel, so size up if you plan to layer. Sleeves are cut slim to match.
