Brown Shearling Leather Men Coat
This is a coat rather than a bomber — the same real sheepskin construction as a B3 but cut longer through the body, so it covers the hip and the top of the thigh. That extra length changes what the garment is for: a shearling bomber is built for sitting in a cockpit, a shearling coat is built for standing in the cold. If you want the warmth of sheepskin in something you can wear over a suit or with the collar up walking, this is the shape.

Why sheepskin works
Sheepskin is one material doing two jobs. The hide side blocks wind and weather completely; the wool side traps warm air against you. Because they are the same skin, there is no separate lining to shift, no seam for cold to find, and no wadding to compress and thin out over the years. That is why a well-made sheepskin coat outlasts and outperforms almost any insulated jacket.
The wool also regulates rather than just insulating — it moves moisture away from the skin, which is why sheepskin does not feel clammy the way a synthetic lining does.
Coat length and what it changes
Covering the hip and upper thigh removes the cold gap that a short jacket leaves at the waist, which is the single biggest weakness of a bomber in still cold. It also lets the coat go over tailoring without the jacket hem showing beneath it.
The trade-off is bulk when sitting. A long sheepskin coat bunches in a car seat in a way a short one does not. If you spend most of your winter driving or riding, a B3 from our B3 Bomber Jackets range is the better shape.
Weight, fit and wear
Full sheepskin is heavy, and a longer coat is heavier still. There is no way around that; the weight and the warmth come from the same place. Most owners find it becomes reassuring rather than tiring after the first week.
Take your normal size. The pattern allows room for a jumper or a suit jacket underneath, so avoid sizing up unless you want it loose. The collar turns up and can be closed against wind, which is where most heat escapes on any coat. See more shearling in our Shearling Leather Jackets range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the wool real sheepskin?
Yes. It is the natural fleece of the same hide, not a fake fur lining stitched in.
How is this different from a B3 bomber?
Same material, longer body. A coat covers the hip and upper thigh; a B3 stops at the waist and is better for sitting.
Is it heavy?
Yes. Full sheepskin is several times the weight of plain leather, and a longer coat more so. The weight is inseparable from the warmth.
Can I wear it over a suit?
Yes. The length covers a suit jacket hem and the pattern allows room for it underneath.
What size should I order?
Your normal size. Room for a layer is already built in, so avoid sizing up unless you want it loose.
Is it waterproof?
It handles light rain — wipe it and let it dry naturally. Never soak sheepskin or dry it near a heater.
How do I care for it?
Dry cloth on the leather, soft brush on the wool. Never machine wash, dry clean or soak a sheepskin coat.
