Why plain is the right choice

The leather and the build
Real leather with enough weight to hang straight and take daily wear, and enough flexibility to be comfortable within the first week. It starts firm and softens noticeably over the first month, after which it moves with you rather than against you.
Seams are double stitched with heavy thread. The waistband is faced with belt loops set through reinforced points, and there is a proper zip fly rather than an elasticated or pull-on waist.
Fit and sizing
Regular fit, straight leg, cut to break over a shoe. Take your normal waist size. Leather does not stretch, so go up rather than down if you are between sizes, or take the free Custom option and send waist, hip, thigh and inside leg.
Leather relaxes slightly at the knee with wear and recovers when hung, so hang them by the waistband rather than folding.

Boots or plain shoes, a t-shirt or shirt, and a jacket if you want one.
