This is the men's punk rock jacket done properly: a heavy black leather biker shell with hand-set studs across the shoulders, lapels and sleeves. It is cut fuller through the chest and shoulders than our women's studded jackets, with a longer body, so the hardware sits on a bigger canvas and the whole jacket reads heavier. Every stud goes through the hide by hand and is backed on the reverse.

Punk, and why the build matters

Punk jackets get worn hard. They get slept in, thrown in vans, leaned against walls at gigs, and repaired rather than replaced. A studded jacket that sheds hardware after six months is no use to anyone who actually wears one, which is why the construction here is more important than the look.

Studs are set individually and closed against backing washers, so the prongs bear on the washer rather than on the leather. Seams are double stitched and reinforced at the shoulders, where the metal load concentrates. The hide is heavy enough to take patch stitching later if you add to it, which most people eventually do.

The men's cut

Fuller across the chest and shoulders than a women's pattern, with a longer body that covers the belt line and sleeves cut for a straight arm rather than a shaped one. Asymmetric front zip, fold-back lapels, snap collar tab, zipped chest and hip pockets, zip cuffs — the standard biker layout, all of it functional.

Fully lined so the reverse of every stud is covered. There is an inside chest pocket.

Fit and wearing it

Take your normal size over a t-shirt or thin knit. Studded panels have little give, so size up if you plan to wear a hoodie underneath — and most people do, so read that carefully before ordering.
