Men Black Bomber Jacket
The lining is the part of a leather jacket nobody photographs and everybody feels. It affects how the jacket goes on, how warm it is, and how long it stays comfortable — and it is where cheap jackets cut costs first.

What a lining actually does
Three jobs. It lets the jacket slide on over a shirt or knit — unlined leather grips fabric, so putting an unlined jacket on over a jumper is a struggle.
It adds a small amount of warmth by trapping air between hide and body, which is worth more than it sounds on a garment that has no insulation of its own.
And it protects the flesh side of the leather from body oils and perspiration, which over years is what degrades a hide from the inside.
An unlined jacket is lighter and shows the raw suede back of the leather, which some people prefer. But it is a compromise, not an upgrade.
How to look after a lined jacket
The one thing worth doing: air it after wear rather than putting it straight in a wardrobe. Linings absorb moisture, and a jacket stored damp develops odour that is hard to remove.
Otherwise the leather care is standard — wipe with a soft cloth, condition once or twice a year, never dry it on a radiator.
Fit and honest notes
Regular fit with room for a shirt or fine knit at your usual size. Rib hem at the waist. Size down for closer over a tee.
Black is the most colour-stable finish and the best at hiding everyday marks — the lowest-maintenance leather colour you can buy.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a lining do?
It lets the jacket slide on over layers, adds a little warmth, and protects the flesh side of the hide from body oils.
Is unlined better?
Lighter, and some people prefer the look of the raw suede back — but it is a compromise rather than an upgrade.
How do I care for the lining?
Air the jacket after wear rather than storing it immediately. Linings hold moisture and a damp-stored jacket develops odour.
Is the leather real?
Yes, genuine leather with ribbed knit at the collar, cuffs and hem.
How warm is it?
Leather blocks wind well and the lining adds a little. For deep winter, add a knit underneath.
How does it fit?
Regular fit with room for a shirt or fine knit. Size down for closer over a tee.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes — XS to 5XL plus Custom to your own measurements.
