Men's Cowboy Lace-Up Leather Pants – Custom Handmade
These men's cowboy lace-up leather pants are laced down the outside of each leg rather than sewn shut, which is the oldest way of fitting a leather trouser and still the most adjustable. Loosen the laces and the leg opens; tighten them and it closes to your calf. They are handmade to your measurements in real leather, cut on a western pattern that sits over a boot rather than tucking into it.

Why lace-up legs
Leather does not stretch, so a sewn leather trouser has to be exactly right or it is either tight or loose forever. Lacing removes that problem entirely. The outer seam is left open and closed with leather lacing through metal eyelets, so you set the width yourself — tighter over a slim boot, looser over a heavy one.
It also solves the calf, which is where most men find leather trousers fail. A wide calf that will not go through a fixed leg simply passes through an unlaced one.
Build
Eyelets are metal, set through reinforced tabs so the lace does not cut into the hide. The lace itself is leather rather than cord, which lasts longer and does not fray. The waistband is faced with a zip fly and belt loops.
These are handmade to order rather than pulled from stock. On a lace-up trouser that matters, because eyelet spacing has to be even along the whole leg or the lacing pulls crooked.
Fit and styling
The leg is cut to sit over a boot in western fashion rather than tuck in. Take your normal waist size — the lacing handles the leg, so waist and inside leg are the measurements that matter. If you are outside standard sizing, choose Custom and send waist, hip, thigh, calf and inside leg.
Wear them with boots and a plain shirt. They pair naturally with a western vest or a leather shirt — see our Men Leather Shirts. For plain leather trousers without lacing, browse our Men Leather Pants.
Sizes and made to order
Every pair is cut after you order, in your chosen size. Standard sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, plus Custom. Lace-up construction takes longer than a plain seam because of the eyelet work. Free worldwide shipping and secure checkout are included.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do the laces adjust the leg?
Enough to take the leg from close over a slim boot to open over a heavy one, which is far more range than a sewn leg gives.
Are these real leather?
Yes. Real leather throughout, with leather lacing rather than cord.
Will the lacing cut into the leather?
No. The eyelets are metal and set through reinforced tabs, which spreads the load.
What measurements do you need for Custom?
Waist, hip, thigh, calf and inside leg. Send them after checkout and we build to those figures at no extra charge.
Do they go over or into boots?
Over, in western fashion. The lacing lets you open the leg to clear a boot shaft.
How long until they arrive?
They are handmade to order and the eyelet work adds time, so allow a little longer than a plain pair plus free shipping.
How do I care for them?
Wipe with a dry cloth, hang by the waistband, and condition twice a year. Never machine wash or dry clean.
