Men Vintage Brown Bomber Jacket
A vintage finish is applied at the tannery to make new leather look as though it has been worn for years. Whether that appeals is personal, but it is worth knowing what is actually being done to the hide.

How a vintage finish is made
The hide is treated so the surface colour varies deliberately — lighter across raised areas and edges, darker in recesses and creases. Some finishes also add a light waxed or oiled top layer that shifts tone when the leather flexes.
The result imitates what happens naturally over years: abrasion thinning the finish on high points, and compression darkening the folds. Done well it is convincing; done badly it looks printed.
The genuine advantage is that real wear disappears into it. A scuff on an even finish stands out; on a vintage finish it simply joins the existing variation.
Vintage finish versus natural ageing
They are not the same thing, and it is worth being straightforward about that. A vintage finish gives you the appearance immediately, uniformly applied by a machine. Natural patina takes years and follows your specific movements — your elbows, your bag strap, your way of pushing the sleeves up.
A vintage-finished jacket also continues to age on top of the finish, so after a few years the two effects combine.
Fit, care and honest notes
Regular fit with room for a shirt or fine knit at your usual size. Rib hem at the waist. Size down for closer over a tee.
Care: wipe with a soft dry cloth, condition once or twice a year, and store out of sustained direct sunlight. Note that every jacket varies slightly, because a vintage finish is irregular by design.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a vintage finish?
A tannery treatment that varies the surface colour — lighter on raised areas, darker in recesses — to imitate years of wear.
Is it the same as natural patina?
No. A finish is applied uniformly and immediately; patina develops over years and follows your specific movements. Both can coexist on the same jacket.
Does it hide wear?
Yes — scuffs blend into the existing variation instead of standing out.
Will my jacket match the photos exactly?
Closely. A vintage finish is irregular by design, so no two are identical.
Is the leather real?
Yes, genuine leather with ribbed knit at the collar, cuffs and hem.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth, condition once or twice a year, and store out of sustained sunlight.
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes — XS to 5XL plus Custom to your own measurements.
