Mens Biker Real Leather Trim Waistcoat Vest
The difference on this vest is the trim — a contrast leather edging that runs around the armholes, the front opening and the hem. It is a small detail that changes the whole outline of the garment, because the eye follows the trim line rather than the flat black panel. It is also a functional edge finish, which is why it appears on well-made vests and not on cheap ones.

Why trim is more than decoration
A raw leather edge is the weakest part of any vest. It takes the most handling, it is where wear starts, and on a soft hide it can stretch and go wavy over time. Binding that edge with a folded strip of leather doubles the thickness at the exact point that needs it and stops the edge distorting.
Doing it in a contrast colour turns a construction detail into a design one, which is why biker vests have used trim for decades. The trim on this vest is stitched through both layers rather than glued, so it will not lift.
Where the trim runs
Around both armholes, down the front opening on both sides, and along the hem. Those are the three edges that get handled and rubbed. The back panel is left plain and untrimmed, which keeps it clear for patches and stops the vest looking over-detailed from behind.
Build
Real leather chosen firm enough to hold its shape at the shoulders under daily abrasion. Seams are double stitched with heavy polyester thread. Fasteners are set through reinforced tabs so they do not tear out. Hip pockets outside and an interior pocket inside the front.
Fit and styling
Regular fit. Take your normal size to wear over a shirt or t-shirt, and size up if it goes over a leather jacket. Armholes are cut to clear a jacket sleeve, and the trim there is what keeps them from stretching when you pull the vest on over bulk.
Because the trim already gives the vest a defined edge, keep the rest simple — a plain tee or shirt, jeans, boots. See the rest of our Men Leather Vests, or wear it over something from our Men Leather Jackets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the trim stitched or glued?
Stitched through both layers. Glued trim lifts at the edges within a season.
What does the trim actually do?
It binds the raw edge, doubling the thickness where the vest gets handled most and stopping the edge stretching or going wavy.
Is the back trimmed as well?
No, the back is left plain so it stays clear for patches and does not look over-detailed.
Is the leather real?
Yes, real leather throughout, including the trim.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a shirt or tee, one size up to wear over a leather jacket. Custom sizing is free.
Is this certified riding protection?
No. It is a leather vest, not protective equipment, with no armour or armour pockets.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry cloth, dry naturally away from heat, condition twice a year. Never machine wash or dry clean.
