These leather pants are made from lambskin, and on trousers that material choice matters more than it does on a jacket. Trousers flex constantly — knees, seat, hips — and the softness of the hide determines whether they are comfortable or a daily negotiation.

Why lambskin suits trousers
Lambskin comes from a young sheep, so the fibre structure is finer and the hide thinner than cowhide. It is the softest leather in common use, and it needs no break-in at all.
On a jacket that is a comfort bonus. On trousers it is close to essential. Cowhide trousers are stiff for weeks and never fully soften at the knee; lambskin moves with you from the first hour. If you have tried leather trousers before and found them uncomfortable, the hide was probably the reason.
The honest trade-off
Thin leather is less abrasion-resistant than thick. On trousers that shows first at the seat and the inner thigh, where fabric rubs against furniture, car seats and itself.

Care: wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, keep them off rough surfaces, condition once or twice a year, and hang by the waistband rather than folding. Never machine wash.
