Crystals versus studs

Asymmetric zip running diagonally across the chest, wide fold-back lapels, buckled waist belt, zipped cuffs. Designed in the 1920s for motorcyclists, and unchanged since because it worked — the offset zip keeps the closure off the sternum when leaning forward and the belt seals the hem against wind.
Red leather has real depth on this shape: the grain takes dye unevenly, so the colour shifts between deep burgundy in low light and clear bright red outdoors.
