The obvious differences are weight and care. Denim is a fraction of the weight of a leather jacket, so this is a spring and autumn piece you can wear all day without noticing it. The beading and stud work

Pearl beading is set across the panels alongside the stud detail, which is what gives the jacket its texture rather than relying on the wash alone. On denim, beadwork sits differently from how it does on leather — the fabric has give, so the beads move slightly with the garment instead of standing rigid.

Because of that trim, wash the jacket inside out and on a cold cycle. Hot water and a tumble dryer are what loosen set beading on any fabric garment.

The distressed finish
