Why white is unforgiving
Dark leather hides a great deal — slightly uneven stitching, small mismatches between panels, minor finishing errors. White hides none of it. Every seam is visible, which means the construction has to be right, and it is why well-made white jackets look so clean while poorly made ones look obviously wrong.
Silver spikes against white also behave differently than against black: there is less tonal contrast, so the spikes read as texture and shape rather than as bright points. It is a softer effect than the same jacket in black.
