Pockets that work
Hip pockets on a vest become useless the moment you sit on a bike — they end up pinned under your thighs. This pattern sets pockets higher and at an angle so they stay reachable seated, and adds an interior pocket positioned so a phone or wallet does not press against you when leaned forward.

Why cowhide
Loaded pockets put a permanent pull on the panel they sit in. A soft hide stretches around them and the vest ends up misshapen; cowhide does not. Shaped side seams and higher armholes so the vest stays on the shoulder rather than sliding backwards when you reach forward — which on a bike happens constantly. The body ends at the hip and the back is slightly longer than the front, so it stays covering your lower back in a forward riding position.
The back is a single clean panel with no seam across it, so patches or colours can go on later.
Fit and styling
Take your normal size over a shirt or tee, and size up if it is going over a leather jacket. Armholes are cut to clear a jacket sleeve.
