Womens Vegan Leather Bomber Motorcycle Jacket M Black
Vegan leather means no animal hide. In practice that means the shell of this jacket is a synthetic coated material rather than skin — usually polyurethane — engineered to look and drape like leather. It is a bomber motorcycle shape in that material, in black, made to order.

What vegan leather is, precisely
Vegan leather is a category rather than a single material. Most of it, including this jacket, is polyurethane on a fabric backing. There are newer plant-based alternatives — made from cactus, apple waste, cork and mycelium — but they are not yet in wide production and are not what most vegan leather garments are made from.
We say that because the word can imply something plant-derived when the material is usually synthetic. It contains no animal hide, which is the claim that matters, and we would rather be precise about the rest.
If any component beyond the shell matters to you — thread, lining, zip pulls — message us before ordering and we will confirm.
How it compares to real leather
Lighter, cheaper, uniform in colour and easy to wipe clean. It also does not soften over years, does not develop a patina, and does not last as long — a coating cracks at high-flex points rather than wearing thin.
The honest summary: real leather is the better material if longevity is the priority, and this is the better choice if avoiding animal hide is. Our real leather bombers are in the same Women Bomber Leather Jackets range and clearly labelled.
Making it last
Heat is what kills a coated jacket. Keep it away from radiators, never tumble dry it, and never iron it — a hot iron melts the coating on contact and the damage cannot be repaired.
Wipe the shell with a damp cloth rather than soaking it, and hang it rather than folding it hard, since a coating creases permanently where a hide would relax. Treated properly you get several good seasons.
The bomber motorcycle shape
A relaxed cut with soft shoulders and room through the body, in a biker-influenced pattern. That relaxed shape is the right choice for a coated material: a coating cracks where it flexes hardest, so a loose jacket outlasts a tight one.
Fit and styling
Vegan leather has slightly more give than hide, so sizing is more forgiving. Take your normal size over a tee or thin knit, and size up if you want a jumper underneath.
Jeans, trainers, a plain top. See our Women Leather Jackets for real leather, or Women Studded Leather Jackets for something with hardware.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is vegan leather plant-based?
Usually not. Most vegan leather, including this jacket, is polyurethane on a fabric backing. Plant-based alternatives exist but are not yet in wide production.
Does it contain any animal hide?
No. The shell contains no animal hide. Message us before ordering if you need confirmation on thread, lining or hardware.
How does it compare with real leather?
Lighter, cheaper and uniform in colour, but it does not soften, does not develop a patina, and does not last as long.
How long will it last?
Several good seasons with care. Heat is what causes cracking, so keep it away from radiators and never tumble dry or iron it.
Can I wash it?
Wipe with a damp cloth only. Never machine wash.
Why is the cut relaxed?
A coating cracks where it flexes hardest, so a loose jacket outlasts a tight one in this material.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a tee or thin knit; size up to layer. Sizing is more forgiving than on real hide.
