How a biker jacket should actually fit
Four checks, in order of importance. The shoulder seam should sit on the point of your shoulder — if it hangs down your arm the jacket is too big, and no amount of taking in the body will fix it. The chest should be close enough that you can zip it over a T-shirt without the panels straining, but you should still be able to move your arms forward. The sleeve should end at the wrist bone, not over the hand. The hem should sit at the belt line for a classic biker cut. Get the shoulder right first; everything else can be adjusted, the shoulder cannot.
Buy it close, not comfortable
New leather feels stiff and slightly tight. That is correct. Jacket-weight hide relaxes at the elbows, across the back, and around the collar within a month of regular wear, and it does not go back. The studding
