Handmade Real Leather Studded jacket
This handmade real leather studded jacket is built the way studded jackets were built before anyone thought to press hardware in by machine. The shell is real leather, cut and stitched by hand, and every stud is set individually through the hide and closed against a backing on the reverse. That single detail is the difference between a jacket that still holds its hardware in ten years and one that starts shedding studs after a season.

How the studs are fitted
Each stud is pushed through a punched hole in the hide and its prongs are folded flat on the reverse against a backing washer. Machine-pressed studs skip the washer, which means the prongs bear directly on the leather; every time the jacket flexes, the metal saws at the hide until the stud works loose and leaves a hole.
Doing it by hand takes hours rather than minutes, which is why hand-studded jackets cost more and take longer to make. It is also why we are willing to describe the process in detail: it is what you are paying for.
The leather underneath
Studded jackets need a firm hide. A soft nappa shell would bubble and stretch around each fixing, and the panels would sag under the weight of metal. This one uses a real leather with enough substance to hold hardware flat while still softening with wear.
The jacket is fully lined so no stud backing touches you. On a studded jacket that is not a luxury — an unlined one is genuinely uncomfortable over a t-shirt.
Fit, weight and wearing it
The cut is a classic biker: asymmetric zip, fold-back lapels, snap collar tab, zipped chest and hip pockets, zip cuffs. Take your normal size over a tee or thin knit; studded panels have limited give, so size up if you plan to layer.
It is heavier than a plain leather jacket. Most people like that — it hangs properly and feels solid — but it is worth knowing before you order. Wear it with plain black or dark denim and let the jacket be the whole outfit. Browse more in our Studded Leather Jackets range.
Sizes and made to order
Every jacket is cut and studded after you order, in your chosen size. Standard sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, plus Custom. Hand-set hardware takes longer than plain stitching, so allow extra production time. For Custom, send chest, waist, sleeve and back length after checkout. Free worldwide shipping and secure checkout are included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the studs really set by hand?
Yes. Each one is fitted individually and closed against a backing washer on the reverse, rather than machine pressed in one pass.
Will the studs come loose?
Not with normal wear. The backing washer is what stops the prongs cutting into the hide, which is how studs work loose on cheaper jackets.
Is the leather real?
Yes, real leather chosen firm enough to hold hardware without stretching around each fixing.
Is it heavy?
Heavier than a plain leather jacket. The weight is what makes it hang well, but it is not a lightweight piece.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a tee or thin knit; size up if you want to layer. Custom sizing is available.
How long does it take to make?
Longer than a plain jacket because of the hand studding. We confirm the timeline after you order; shipping is free.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the leather with a dry cloth and buff the studs dry. Never machine wash, soak or dry clean a studded jacket.
