The Bradwell is our touring-cut textile motorcycle jacket — longer in the body than a sport jacket, with more pocket capacity and a fit that stays comfortable over hours rather than minutes. Touring riders need different things from a jacket than commuters do: room to layer, somewhere to put a wallet, phone, documents and gloves, and a cut that does not pull across the shoulders after the second hour in the saddle. That is what this one is built around.

A touring cut

The body is cut longer than on a sport jacket so it covers the lower back properly in a more upright riding position, and the sleeves are curved for a moderate lean rather than a full tuck. Across the shoulders the pattern has a little more room, because a jacket that fits perfectly standing still can become tight after an hour of holding a riding position.

Waist, hem and cuff adjusters let you take that room back in when you want the jacket close, so it works for shorter rides too.

Vents and weather

Mesh vent panels are set into the chest and back for airflow on warmer days. The main shell is a heavier textile that blocks wind well and sheds light rain. All outer zips are backed with storm flaps.

Like any vented jacket it is not a sealed waterproof — for sustained rain you would carry an over-shell. Within that limit it handles the range of weather a long day throws at you.

Pockets and protection

Touring means carrying things. There are zipped hand pockets, a chest pocket, an interior document pocket sized for a passport or paperwork, and a rear pocket across the back for gloves or a folded layer. Armour pockets sit at the shoulders, elbows and back and take standard CE inserts; we confirm on your order whether armour is supplied.
