Where the B-3 Pattern Comes From
The B-3 was standard issue for high altitude bomber crews who flew in open, unheated aircraft. Everything in the design solved a cold weather problem: a deep collar that could be strapped shut, a short body so it did not catch on seat harnesses, and thick shearling everywhere because there was no cabin heating. We build to that same layout instead of a slimmed down fashion version.
The Vintage Finish
Antiquing is done by hand. The hide is dyed, then rubbed back at high wear points so the colour sits unevenly across shoulders, elbows and pocket mouths. Buckles and the zip pull are given an aged tone so nothing looks new against the leather. Because the base is real sheepskin, this finish keeps developing rather than wearing off.
