The Women RAF B3 Pilot Winter Real Shearling Sheepskin Leather Bomber Aviator Jacket is the unhooded RAF pattern, built for cold rather than for styling. Tall collar with twin throat straps, belted hem, full shearling throughout. It is the most traditional women's B3 we make, and the version to choose if you want the military outline rather than a softened modern shape.
Material: Genuine sheepskin with full natural shearling lining

Care: Brush the wool, dry wipe the hide, air dry only, condition twice a season
Collar and Belts Doing Real Work
The throat straps and hem belts on a B3 are not decoration. Strapping the collar closes the neck completely, and tightening the hem belts stops cold air being pulled up your back as you walk. Together they turn the jacket from warm into genuinely windproof, which is why the wartime pattern included both.
Full Shearling Throughout
Wool runs through the body, sleeves and collar rather than only at the front. That is what distinguishes a real B3 from a leather jacket with a fur collar, and it is the reason the jacket handles freezing conditions with only a knit underneath.
Fit and Weight
Drafted on a women's block so the shoulder, armhole and waist are correct. Order your usual size, since the pattern already allows for the wool. It is heavier than a padded winter coat, which is the honest cost of insulation that does not flatten over time.
