Women Studded Spike Black Leather Jacket
This one combines both kinds of hardware: flat studs filling the panels and cone spikes standing proud along the shoulders and lapels. That mix is deliberate. Studs alone give surface texture; spikes alone give outline. Together they change how the jacket reads from close up and from across a room, which is more than either does on its own.

Spikes and studs together
The placement follows a rule: spikes go where the jacket is seen in silhouette, studs go where it is seen flat. So the cones run along the shoulder line and the lapel edges — the parts that break your outline — and the flat studs fill the chest and sleeve panels behind them.
Put them the other way round and the jacket looks cluttered from the front and flat from the side. The layout matters as much as the hardware itself.
Why cone spikes need proper fixing
A spike projects, which means every knock puts leverage on its fixing point — far more than a flat stud ever takes. Fixed straight into unbacked leather, a cone works its way loose and eventually tears through, leaving a hole that cannot be repaired invisibly.
Every spike here is set by hand through the hide and closed against a backing washer on the reverse, so the load spreads across metal rather than concentrating on the leather. That is the entire difference between a spiked jacket that lasts and one that does not.
Living with spikes
Worth knowing before you order. Spikes catch — on knitwear, on car seats, on door frames, on other people's clothes. Hang the jacket on a wide hanger with clear space either side rather than crushing it into a wardrobe, and be conscious of it when you sit down or lean against something.
It is also the heaviest of our womens studded jackets, because cones use more metal than flat studs. Most owners like the weight; it is worth being aware of it.
Fit and styling
Womens biker cut ending at the hip. Take your normal size over a tee or thin top. Hardware panels have almost no give, so size up if you plan to layer — this is the most common sizing mistake on spiked jackets.
Black jeans, boots, a plain top. A spiked jacket does not share an outfit. See the rest of our Women Studded Leather Jackets, or our Women Leather Jackets for something you can wear daily.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why both spikes and studs?
Spikes break your outline where the jacket is seen in silhouette; flat studs give surface texture on the panels. The layout puts each where it works.
Will the spikes pull out?
Not with normal wear. Each is backed on the reverse so the leverage spreads across metal rather than tearing the hide.
Are the spikes sharp?
They are pointed cones with blunted tips, not blades. They will still catch on knitwear and upholstery.
Is it heavy?
It is the heaviest of our womens studded jackets, since cones use more metal than flat studs.
Can spikes be removed later?
We do not recommend it — removing one leaves a permanent hole. Ask us before ordering if you want a lighter layout.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a tee or thin top. Size up to layer, since hardware panels barely give.
How should I store it?
On a wide hanger with clear space either side. Spikes mark whatever they are pressed against.
