Womens Removable Hooded Faux Leather Moto Biker Fashion Jacket
Two things to say up front. This is faux leather, not hide — a coated fabric made to look and behave like leather, which is why it is light, easy to care for and priced well below real hide. And the hood comes off, which turns one jacket into two: a casual hooded jacket, or a clean moto biker with nothing at the neck.

Faux leather, stated plainly
The shell is a coated fabric rather than animal hide. It will not develop a patina, will not soften over years, and will not last as long as real leather — a faux coating eventually cracks at high-flex points rather than wearing thin.
What it gives you instead is very light weight, a wipe-clean surface, consistent colour with no grain variation, and no animal hide at all. If you want real leather in a similar shape, our Women Leather Jackets range covers it.
The removable hood
The hood attaches at the neckline and comes off completely. With it on, the jacket reads casual — a hooded moto jacket you wear with jeans and trainers. With it off, the neckline is finished cleanly and you have a plain biker jacket that works over a dress or under a coat.
The point of a detachable hood is that neither version should look like it is missing something, and that is down to how the neckline is finished when the hood is off. Here the fastenings sit flat rather than leaving exposed tape or loops around the collar.
The hood itself is fabric rather than coated, which is deliberate — a faux leather hood is stiff, does not sit down flat between the shoulders, and is uncomfortable against the head.
Care, which matters more on faux
Heat is what kills a coated jacket. Keep it away from radiators, never tumble dry it, never iron it. Wipe the shell with a damp cloth rather than soaking it. The hood, being fabric, can usually be washed separately once detached — check the care label on it before you do.
Treated properly, a faux leather jacket gives several good seasons. Treated carelessly it can crack in one.
Fit and styling
Moto fit — short in the body, close through the arms. Faux leather has slightly more give than hide, so sizing is a little more forgiving. Take your normal size over a tee or thin knit, and size up if you want to layer.
Hood on: jeans, trainers, casual. Hood off: over a dress with boots, or under a longer coat. See our Women Bomber Leather Jackets or Women Studded Leather Jackets for other shapes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this real leather?
No. The shell is faux leather — a coated fabric, with no animal hide. Our real leather jackets are in the Women Leather Jackets collection.
Does the hood really come off?
Yes, completely. The neckline is finished so the jacket looks correct with the hood removed.
Why is the hood fabric rather than faux leather?
A coated hood is stiff, will not sit flat between the shoulders and is uncomfortable against the head.
Can I wash it?
Wipe the shell with a damp cloth only. The detached hood can usually be washed separately — check its care label first.
How long will it last?
Several good seasons with care. Heat is what causes a coated finish to crack, so keep it away from radiators and never tumble dry or iron it.
What size should I order?
Your normal size over a tee or thin knit; size up to layer. Faux leather has slightly more give than hide.
Is it warm?
It blocks wind well but has no insulation. Layer underneath in cold weather.
